Commitment to Engagement

Understanding what’s important to the community and other stakeholders will enable Mirvac to deliver positive outcomes for all. Mirvac has developed a stakeholder engagement strategy which is designed to ensure our stakeholders – including the community - have a voice throughout the various stages of the development. Feedback received throughout this engagement process will be used to guide and inform Mirvac as they work through the planning and delivery stages of the masterplan.

PEDESTRIAN DIVERSION NOTIFICATION

As we near the completion of Quay Waterfront Newstead, works along Skyring Terrace for new street lighting, street trees and driveways will be undertaken.

There are no long term interruptions to the footpath outside of the site along Skyring Terrace but pedestrian diversions may be required temporarily.

The project team is working closely with Brisbane City Council (BCC) on the proposed methodology to minimise impact to the community and pedestrian traffic.

An update will be issued to the community when the BCC have approved the methodology.

Mirvac appreciates your understanding of these upcoming works and apologises for any inconvenience.

SKY STAGE 3 UPDATE

Mirvac has just lodged a Development Application (DA) for the third and final stage of the ‘Sky Precinct’ as part of our $1 billion Waterfront Newstead masterplanned integrated residential community.

The proposed building is located on the corner of Cunningham Street and Skyring Terrace and complements the design of the previous two buildings within the Sky Precinct - Quay and Isle, both under construction. The newest stage proposes 138 one to four-bedroom apartments across 27 levels along with basement car parking, ground floor retail and rooftop amenity totalling 31-levels.

If approved, more than 60 per cent of the final stage will be dedicated to open space, bringing the total area of subtropical parklands delivered across the three stages of the Sky Precinct to over 8,500sqm. The proposed open space also includes a new Civic Square on the corner of Cunningham Street and Skyring Terrace which will welcome people to the precinct and connect the Gasworks shopping centre with Waterfront Park.

Construction Updates

QUAY WATERFRONT NEWSTEAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Quay is making great progress with the tiling underway in the water features, and the surrounding feature paving is beginning to take shape beautifully. Additionally, you may have noticed the removal of scaffolding on level two, revealing more of the unique facade and tower landscaping. We can expect to see some mature growth in the coming months.

We’ve also reached an exciting milestone for the project with the tower crane now fully dismantled and swapped over for a satellite crane on the roof to make way for ground floor works.

The first stages of pouring the rooftop pool have now commenced with spa recently completed.

ISLE WATERFRONT NEWSTEAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

The ground-level slab has been poured, and the jump form for the core is in place, enabling tower construction to begin. Service connection facilitation works along the footpaths have been completed.

Our team continues to work behind the scenes on exciting aspects, including tree procurement, public artwork, and retail spaces.

While the journey has not been without hurdles, particularly during the excavation phase, we have made great progress.

We look forward to seeing the ground floor and tower form take shape in the months ahead.

LIV ANURA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Tower works have progressed well with both towers achieving structural top out. Apartments are taking shape with walls, joinery and flooring progressing up the towers. Level 1 facade framing has commenced and is beginning to showcase the retail amenity.

Design of public artwork is in the final stages with international artist, Gregor Kregar who is known for his diverse sculptural practice, working with materials such as glass, stainless steel, wood, plastic and stoneware.

The retail campaign for the ground plane offering is in full swing and discussions are underway with multiple retail operators.
