Commitment to Engagement

Understanding what’s important to the community and other stakeholders will enable Mirvac to deliver positive outcomes for all. Mirvac has developed a stakeholder engagement strategy which is designed to ensure our stakeholders – including the community - have a voice throughout the various stages of the development. Feedback received throughout this engagement process will be used to guide and inform Mirvac as they work through the planning and delivery stages of the masterplan.

ISLE WATERFRONT NEWSTEAD FOOTPATH CLOSURE

57 SKYRING TERRACE | From 2 February 2026

Thank you for your ongoing patience as we progress construction of Isle Waterfront Newstead.

As an update to our previous notice, we would like to advise upcoming works required to support the removal of the gantry and continuation of the new streetscape works along the Skyring Terrace frontage.

From Monday, 2 February, the footpath fronting the Isle site will be closed and a diversion for pedestrian traffic will be in place. Associated wayfinding signage to guide pedestrians safely around the work area and on the alternate route will be installed.

From Tuesday, 3 February, concrete barriers will be installed along the site frontage. These barriers will create a protected work zone allowing for the safe removal of the gantry.

Please note the following adjustments to the program:
 • Night works are no longer required. All activity will now take place during normal daytime construction hours.
 • Works associated with gantry removal and barrier installation are expected to be completed by 11 February (pending weather), however the footpath diversion will remain in place until the project is close to completion later this year.
 • To maintain public safety, pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite side of Skyring Terrace, re‑entering the footpath past the construction zone. Clear directional signage will remain in place for the duration of the diversion.

ISLE Footpath Closure
Mirvac appreciates your understanding and cooperation as we complete these final stages of construction. We apologise for any inconvenience and will continue to keep you updated as the project progresses.

ISLE WATERFRONT NEWSTEAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

We have made great progress over the last few months at Isle, with Level 15 now poured and Level 16 starting to form up.

Planter boxes and screens have started to be installed around the façade, and our internal finishes cycle has now commenced.

Electrical & services rough-ins have been completed in the lower levels, along with wall sheeting on Levels 3 & 4.

In the coming weeks, we will begin to pour our Upper Residences floors and start to see Isle’s unique profile take to the Newstead skyline.

SKY STAGE 3 UPDATE

In May 2024, Mirvac lodged a Development Application (DA) for the third and final stage of the ‘Sky Precinct’ as part of our $1 billion Waterfront Newstead masterplanned integrated residential community.

The proposed building is located on the corner of Cunningham Street and Skyring Terrace and complements the design of the previous two buildings within the Sky Precinct - Quay and Isle, both under construction. The newest stage proposes 138 one to four-bedroom apartments across 27 levels along with basement car parking, ground floor retail and rooftop amenity totalling 31-levels.

More than 60 per cent of the final stage will be dedicated to open space, bringing the total area of subtropical parklands delivered across the three stages of the Sky Precinct to over 8,500sqm.

The proposed open space also includes a new Civic Square on the corner of Cunningham Street and Skyring Terrace which will welcome people to the precinct and connect the Gasworks shopping centre with Waterfront Park.

The Development Application has now been approved, and can be viewed on Brisbane City Council's online portal here.

QUAY WATERFRONT NEWSTEAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

We’re excited to share that Quay has now reached practical completion, with residents now occupying the building.

While building works have finished, there will still be some finishing works to the rooftop which is anticipated to be complete in early July.

Ground floor landscaping is also complete with flagging to remain for the next two weeks until turf is established.
