The Evolution of Waterfront Newstead

Since 2001, Mirvac has owned Waterfront Newstead. Already this community is home to the Pier, Park and Unison buildings, with Quay Waterfront Newstead and LIV Anura currently under construction. Looking ahead, the Waterfront Newstead community will continue to evolve with Isle Waterfront Newstead, "Sky Stage 3" and the "Lake Precinct". These will be progressively completed in line with the growth of the area and market demands, and have been part of the Waterfront Newstead vision since 2001.

Completed in 2011, Pier is the first and most luxurious stage of Waterfront Newstead. Pier features unrivalled lifestyle amenity including two heated lap pools, two fully equipped gymnasiums, residents function room with boardroom and fully equipped kitchen as well as a concierge service.
Park; a definitive standard of inner city, care-free living consisting of one, two and three bedroom premium apartments with renowned interior styling. Having sold out in 2014, the building is home to some 200 residents with 5.5ha of parkland on its doorstep.
Uni
Sold out in 2018, Unison features a choice of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments plus a special release of terrace homes, courtyard apartments and beautifully designed pavilions. Unison features an exclusive 4,000m2 elevated garden incorporating a lap pool, plunge pool, outdoor kitchen plus gym and health zones and well-being zones.

Waterfront Newstead's Next Precincts

LIV Anura

LIV Anura commenced construction in August 2021 and will offer 396 apartments designed and built exclusively for renters.

When completed mid 2024 LIV Anura is expected to be one of the first projects of its scale in Brisbane and will raise the bar for the rental experience. LIV Anura will feature a dedicated community team, a suite of sustainability initiatives including 100 percent renewable energy to all apartments as well as a cinema, games room, gym, pool, co-working spaces and a pet park.

In partnership with the Queensland Government, a quarter of apartments will be offered at a discount to key workers, helping those in important industries like health, education and emergency services to live affordably, close to employment.

Quay Waterfront Newstead

Quay Waterfront Newstead commenced construction in July 2021 and will offer 143 luxury riverside apartments across 25 levels.

The project will also boast a luxury rooftop pool and entertainment sanctuary, exclusive shared dining room, wine room and ground-floor yoga studio, gym and wellness rooms. Construction is anticipated for completion in mid 2024.

More than half the site area of Quay Waterfront Newstead will be dedicated to open space, injecting more than 2,000sqm of parkland to expand Waterfront Park.

Isle Waterfront Newstead

Immersed in nature and reaching skyward, Isle Waterfront Newstead commenced construction in November 2022 with completion anticipated in late 2025.

Inspired by resort living, Isle will meaningfully connect residents to nature while offering the ultimate in apartment living. Private sanctuaries await with sophisticated one, two and three bedroom residences. Available to a select few are truly opulent three and four bedroom pavilions and penthouses.

Sky Stage 3

Mirvac has just lodged a Development Application (DA) for the third and final stage of the ‘Sky Precinct’ as part of our $1 billion Waterfront Newstead masterplanned integrated residential community.

The proposed building is located on the corner of Cunningham Street and Skyring Terrace and complements the design of the previous two buildings within the Sky Precinct - Quay and Isle, both under construction. The newest stage proposes 138 one to four-bedroom apartments across 27 levels along with basement car parking, ground floor retail and rooftop amenity totalling 31-levels.

If approved, more than 60 per cent of the final stage will be dedicated to open space, bringing the total area of subtropical parklands delivered across the three stages of the Sky Precinct to over 8,500sqm. The proposed open space also includes a new Civic Square on the corner of Cunningham Street and Skyring Terrace which will welcome people to the precinct and connect the Gasworks shopping centre with Waterfront Park.

Lake Precinct

The Neighbourhood plan permits residential uses for the "Lake Precinct" and provides an opportunity to extend the Riverwalk along the eastern boundary.
